A short while ago, I had some errands to run in Washington DC. I like to stop at the Lincoln Memorial and walk through the Constitution Gardens. Right in DC, near the Potomac, this garden is a nice, tranquil place to walk and relax. It is the home of many squirrels, waterfowl (watch out for goose poop), and birds.
Situated next to the Vietnam Veterans Memorial, World War II Memorial, and Reflecting Pool, it offers enough space for a nice walk. In addition, the view from the Lincoln Memorial towards the Capital is quite nice.
The parking situation is pretty good along Parkway Drive NW. Not free but close enough to the park.
During my walk, I saw many Mallard families with offspring of different sizes. This photo shows a mother with her young enjoying a meal of Duck Weed.
