The Joy of the Yellow Gerbera

February 08, 2023 | Featured Photo

I haven’t posted in a while. I’ve been busy with work, two sweet Beagles, and buying a new home. Oh yes, not to forget about my fountain pen collection. Learning all about fountain pens, old and new, takes time. Because of the above, I changed my approach to posting photos. I also reduced the content of my photo site.

It is not essential to me when and where I took a photo at this time in my life. I will use it if I like it and it fits my mood for the day. It doesn’t matter to me if a photo is recent. With two dogs, work, chores, and other interests, I don’t have much time to go out just to take pictures. When I go for a walk, the dogs are with me, and I take dog pictures. Soon enough, some will appear here.

This lovely gerbera portrait was photographed quite a while ago. Then, I loved the Olympus 510. I still love the manual Auto Revuenon MC 50mm f1.7 lens. This one was the first lens I ever owned.

To get the photo ready for prime time, I applied the Agfa Scala 200X profile. I’m not sure from which company it is. It changes the mood to be a bit darker and lets the background disappear a bit.
