The photos for this weekly photo post have been shot in Meadowlark Botanical Gardens (Vienna, VA). This is a lovely park with a pond that is the home of carp, koi, turtles, and geese. The garden also grows many flowers which will attract butterflies and bees. A wonderful place to photograph nature in a cultivated way.
The photos on this page are all about the Monarch Butterfly.
All images have been made with the lovely 60mm macro lens. Usually, I only shoot RAW, I always feel that I might miss out on something when I don’t have the RAW file around. However, the last couple of weeks I used both, JPG and RAW. All four images are straight out of the camera. I did crop them a bit, but that’s it. My camera was set to Pro Neg Hi.
