Honey Bee at Work

July 13, 2017 | Featured Photo

Last weekend I spent some time at The United States Botanic Garden in Washington DC. It is a beautiful place to visit. It offers both, outdoor and indoor gardens and a glass-domed conservatory. You will be able to see a variety of plants and insects (if the season allows it) from several different regions. And like many DC institutions, entry is free. It is a paradise for everyone enjoying to photograph flowers and plants.

This photo of a honey bee was made in the outdoor section, near the pond with the water lilies, close to the corner of Maryland Ave, and 3rd St SW. It was buzzing with bees, dragonflies and other insects.

I posted the photo of a California Poppy, also photographed at the botanic garden, in my Flickr account.
